Cookie Policy

Short version: 2AM doesn't set any cookies. No advertising pixels and no tracking of you. The only optional extra is anonymous visit counting, and only if you accept it. This page explains what the site does keep in your browser instead, and why it's different.

Cookies we set

None. Not one. There is no advertising network on this site, no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no session-recording tool, no A/B testing service, and no third-party marketing tag. (Optional visit counting is described under Analytics below. It uses no cookie either.) Nothing on this site is trying to work out who you are or follow you somewhere else.

What we store instead

Cookies get sent to a server on every request. This site uses local storage and session storage instead — data that stays in your browser on your device and is never automatically transmitted anywhere. It's used for the parts of a shop that literally cannot work without remembering something:

Third parties that see your visit

Three services are loaded from outside this site. None of them set a cookie here, but they do receive a request from your browser, which means they can see your IP address:

Google Fonts — the typefaces this site is set in are fetched from Google's font servers. No cookie, but Google receives your IP when the fonts load. This one is on the list to be self-hosted so it stops happening at all.
Square — the payment form. Square's own scripts load only when you reach the payment step, never on a normal page view, and Square's privacy policy governs what happens there. This is what lets 2AM take a card without ever touching your card number.
Printify — product photography is served from their image CDN, so they see the request for each image on pages showing products.

Analytics

If you tap Accept on the notice, the site counts your page visits. That is all it does. It records which page you looked at and which website you came from (the website's name only, not the full address). It sets no cookie and stores nothing on your device. Your IP address is never saved: the server keeps only a code that is scrambled with a secret that changes every day, so it can count how many different people visited in a day but cannot follow you from one day to the next or work out who you are. Nothing about your bag, your name, your email or your order is included. Visit records are deleted after 180 days.

If you tap Decline, none of this runs. If your browser sends "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control", it doesn't run either, whatever you chose.

Managing it yourself

You can clear everything this site has stored at any time through your browser's "clear site data" or "clear cookies and site data" option for 2amcases.online. Doing that empties your bag and makes the consent notice appear again — nothing else is affected, because there's nothing else.

Browser settings that block cookies won't break this site, because it isn't using any. Blocking local storage entirely will stop the bag from remembering items between pages.

Changes

If anything on this page stops being true, the date at the top changes and this page gets updated in the same breath.
